You Were Made to Be Amazing

Amazing You3As I write this there are 7,254,916,729 people on planet earth.  Not one of them has the same swirls on the tips of their fingers or ears shaped like yours.  No one even comes close to having the same combination of genes you do – over 20,000 of them!  You are an astounding blend of personality, abilities, quirks and potential.  There is no one like you!

God’s plans for your life are extensive, specific and beyond your imagination.

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT)

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10 (ESV)

No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him. 1 Corinthians 2:9 (NLT)

The world needs you to be the Real You

Your family and friends are incomplete without you.  People in your circle of influence won’t get the touch from God they need if you don’t live in your destiny.  They need you to have your heart transformed so you look, sound and act like God’s son or daughter. They may never read the Bible, but they will read you.  To many people, you are the message.

You were born to do random acts of kindness, to right injustice, to cure diseases, to bless people as you finance, create, solve, lead and invent to improve the world.  Your life will improve and influence the lives of others.

You show that you are a letter from Christ, … written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.  2 Corinthians 3:3 (NIV)

Find God’s Path to Be Real

The path is an ancient one, lost to many, but still clearly marked.

Be.  Be with God.

Human history is the story of a loving Father God relentlessly pursuing His human children.

Long before he [God] laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1:3 (MSG)

Can a mother forget her nursing child?  Can she feel no love for the child she has borne?  But even if that were possible, I would not forget you!   See, I have written your names on the palms of my hands.   Isaiah 49:15-16 (NLT)

We love Him because He first loved us.  1 John 4:19 (AMP)

Become.  Become like God.

Being with God changes us to be like Him:

And when God is personally present, a living Spirit . . . .  Nothing between us and God, our faces shining with the brightness of his face. And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like him. 2 Corinthians 3:16-18 (MSG)

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you…. Romans 12:2  (NLT)

Do. Do things with God.

As your heart is changed you think and see things the way God does. From this new identity and relationship with God you do things together; you will change the world.

“These who have turned the world upside down have come here too.” Acts 17:6 (NKJV)

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to be with God, become like God, and do things with God. Your mission is to be the real you.

What do you see yourself doing with your amazing life?
