Reason # 1 Put Jesus in the middle of every situation and problem you face today.
Because he is in you and you are in him, Jesus is in every situation and every problem that you face today. And that changes everything. Beginning your day with Jesus reminds you that you are not alone in anything you do today. Read: (Part 1 of 3)
Reason # 2 With him, you can do everything. Without him, nothing.
The presence of God you carry will touch the hearts of people around you. Sometimes, just you being there will change people. You need to have coffee with Jesus today so you can carry the presence of Jesus everywhere you go. The life of God in you will become the life of God in others. Read (Part 2 of 3)
Reason # 3 Cut off what happened yesterday. Begin anew.
How many days have you wasted because you were buried in the rubble of the day before? God created time and rest because we need it. We need new beginnings.
Begin your day with Jesus to open the front door to your day. Keep the back door to your past closed and locked. Being with Jesus keeps us living in the moment, leaning toward the future.
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Reason #4 We don’t follow rules or laws. We follow Jesus.
Daily experiences with Jesus give us a relationship that we can rely on when we encounter things that we don’t understand or that contradict our ideas about God.
There will be pain in your life. You won’t understand everything that happens to you or those you care about. Many people become offended and blame God for things that happen to them. Begin your day with Jesus. Come to know Him so well that your heart guides your understanding of Jesus.
Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

Reason #5 If you don’t set the agenda for your day, someone else will.
If you don’t let God set your agenda people or things will force their way in and hijack your day. You meet with Jesus to see what your assignment is for that day. Some days you will have specific assignments from God. Other days you will live a godly life and do what you see needs to be done. Every day, you begin with Jesus because you are going to journey through the day together. At any time, Jesus may lean over and say, “Here’s what I’d like you to do….” You need to leave space in your life so you have time and energy to do it.
So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.
