In the 1980s-90s, I spent several years in a communist nation where it was risky to share the gospel.  It was even riskier for the local people to believe and live for Jesus.  When I first arrived it was immediately after a period of civil unrest.  There were armed soldiers on street corners.  They were still repairing the tank tracks on the streets and bullet holes in towering concrete buildings.  I repeatedly had situations where people wanted to hear about Jesus, but we only had a few minutes (or less) to talk before other, unsafe ears joined us.

That’s actually a lot like situations in our everyday lives.  Many people need, want, and even ask us for something to change their lives.  If we can’t give the truth to them in a quick bite their eyes glaze over and they reach for their cell phone.  The opportunity is lost.

There is ONE THING.

One thing will change you from Clark Kent to Superman.  One thing will rock your world and impact the people you love and care about.  Here it is:

The history of the world is the history of a loving Father, God, and his rebellious human children.  He breathed His own breath into them.  They were like Him.  He enjoyed being with them.  But He made them free.  They ran away from Him by doing wrong.  God sent his son, Jesus, to bring them back.  God is calling you to come back to Him.  When you look for Him, He will show Himself to you.  You will experience Him.  You will feel His presence and He will talk to you.

As you let God love you, you will be changed.  And when you are truly changed, you will change the world.

There are many truths.  One will totally change your life:  be with God

One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek, inquire for, and [insistently] require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple.
Psalm 27:4 (AMP)

Ask Jesus, “How do you want to love me today?”  What did He say?

Please honor and respect others in your comments. Thanks!
